Ellie set me up with a boy she knows. I set Ellie and Taylor up with boys I both know. That's the premise of the date.
We got boba and played a couple games (Priorities and Catchphrase) in the boba shop. We laughed, we cried, it was better than Cats (ft. Taylor Swift and James Corden).
Real talk though, when I was one on one with my date (let's call him Miles) if I wasn't asking questions or talking things went silent rather fast. A very nice boy though!! But also, at the end of the date, it was the boys that were exchanging social media handles with each other lol.
Recounting this to coworkers afterwards, they decided they hated my date for me hehe.
Recounting this to Ellie afterwards, we pondered on who sends the post-date text, the asker or the askee? And are second dates more important than first dates?
Recounting this to my mom afterwards, she said my dad was also pretty quiet on their first date.
Which, for me, begs the question, then how do you know when you need to go on a second date?
