Acknowledgements

*All names have been changed to keep the identity of my friends and potential love interests private. 

 Here's a list of things that inspired me to start this blog.

1. My coworker Taylor. She broke up with a boy in October or November and by December she was going on Hinge dates galore and encouraging me to download and use Hinge as well. Just as a way to get myself out there:)
2. This episode of the podcast This is the Gospel titled "Love Lessons." (which was recommended to me by my friend Taylor she's really the reason we're all here today lol.) It's about a woman who after turning 31 decided to go on 31 dates in 31 days and blog about it. She found a way to see the best in her dates and have fun while she was at it. Those are two things I both need.
3. My former coworker/friend Amelia who coined the term Rizzabasil.
4. The 15 people on my close friends list on Instagram that liked my story which said, "1 like and I'll start a blog detailing the rizzabasil endeavors of this year." We exceeded our quota by 14!! Congrats everyone!!

In short, I've started this blog because I've always loved blogging/journaling and anything like unto it. Writing down my thoughts helps me process my feelings, keeps me grounded, and gives me something fun to look back on later!!

And while I've always loved blogging, I've never enjoyed dating. Boys scare me. Vulnerability scares me. Spending one on one time with people scares me. I find the thought of dating immobilizing, anxiety-inducing, and terrible. Most of the time I feel like I'm the only person who feels that way but I'm suuuure I'm not completely alone. So who knows. Maybe we can all learn some lessons from this little experimental blog I'm starting.

If nothing else it'll be good for the plot.
